Finishing grad school, hot and cold vacations..
Well, I finally finished school–once again chants of "no more school for Jeff, no more school", come swirling around in my head. And it was a good run this time–getting my masters in 16 months. The future will unfold–I’m not certain how or where but I’ve got some ideas.
I took some time off to relax and enjoy life–something I didn’t get much of a chance of in August, aside from time spent with the gf/going to an incredible umphrey’s and bela fleck concert. Run for Cover is an incredible show at the Black Cat every year I highly recommend checking it out–I can’t remember if that was in August or July, that’s how much it all feels like a blur to me.
The first trip was the hot trip. I went with the gf to Curacao which is near Venezuela and we had an excellent time–took 10 rolls of film–mostly I got "overly excited" and took lots of pictures of fish. We ate at some nice places, stayed in a beautiful place, went snorkeling, biking through the desert, and all around had a good time. For some reason my inner interior decorator came out and I rearranged a lot of my furniture, although I still have the glorious futon.
The second trip was the cold trip. I went with my dad to Montreal(which is French for a really cold place). One day my dad had 5 shirts on and 2 pairs of pants. It took him around 1 hour to get dressed and he’s a man. But, seriously it is beatufiul and quite different, Quebec City was very beautiful and a highly recommended place to go visit. Traveling with my dad let’s me know where I got a lot of my traits–we both have schpilkus and aren’t always very patient. On the flip side, Le Commensal, was an incredible vegetarian buffet place, I wonder why we don’t have it here in the US.
All in all, I’m back, a little tired and worn out, but on the whole feeling good and of course getting dangerously close to the end of Sunday.
Peace out,
Jeff
