Raul Midon Live, Chinese Soccer, and GF Update
I just saw Raul Midon live and it was incredible–he’s a blind man–Stevie Wonder/jazz/R&B/gospel/latin/flamenco feel. He just plays acoustic guitar, but he hits the guitar, and sings like a trumpet at times. It was nice to see such a diverse crowd and hear his uplifting music.
Chinese pickup soccer–near where i live these Chinese guys play soccer–and I have played with them a handful of times. I’ve never seen anyone so happy to play together, they are laughing, smiling, clapping, it’s incredible. It’s not a physical game–or an overly serious one–I think I have the most fun playing with them, it’s just the pure enjoyment of the game.
Wow, so this is coming up on record time, and certainly the most amount of time I’ve spent with any girlfriend. But, I can’t complain, she treats me well, and we enjoy our time together. She knows when I need to go do things on my own/go running around the block, and understands herself very well.
Life has been extremely busy, but good, I try to keep it all in perspective, it’s hard to let things go, but I try. That’s part of life, everything doesn’t go your way, you have to accept that you can’t control everything/achieve perfection–but just do the best with what you can
