Life after death?

Well, it is a big question–does it exist or does it not?  I tend to think that something does exist.  I believe we do go out, and go somewhere else–and that while we do have new experiences, the primary one is as of an observer.  Even if we aren’t alive we most likely aren’t able to influence what happens from that point on.

But, I also believe that this is the world where things are happening–so when we cease to exist, we’ve left this world hopefully to go on to a better place.  What do we leave?  Well, we leave our energy, actions, and people to carry us on.

It seems as though you have conflicting points–that the soul is separate from the body and mind, that it leaves and rises out.   Near death experiences–don’t happen everytime that people are clinically dead, but people do say they’ve had them.  Is it just the chemical response of the body being dead, with a flash of light, or do our souls/beings move on?
