spontaneousness, Gypsy kings and old friends rock

Tuesday, May 31st, 2005

Spontaneousnes(not really a word), try it sometime–take a suggestion/idea or anything that someone recommends that day–and then go do it :)

Ahh, I wasn’t really planning on going–but it ended up rocking to see the Gypsy Kings, and I ran into an old friend of mine from UVA–one of my coolest old friends that I hadn’t been in touch with for 4 years!  Lately, I’ve been running into old friends a lot–well, i did know a lot of people at some point, and am starting to again..

Then, I raced off, after some excellent sangria, and as it was Tuesday–played some soccer–we just pulled it off, so it was an excellent ending for a fantastic night.

Enjoy your weekend and other philosophic ramblings

Weekends are nice and other thoughts..

Ahh, it’s nice to get out on the town–go biking/play tennis/enjoy life–I highly recommend it if you get the chance.  The mall in dc rocks–so many cool free things, so little time to do them all.

I was riding home after I got a flat from a cabbie and we were talking about health insurance–how he couldn’t afford health care/or really a place to live in anywhere that was nice.  That’s not unusual in DC–it’s too expensive, not enough supply in the nice areas to meet the demand.  We could try to solve the problem but, instead we’ll probably just bitch about it and not take any real action–because it’s about money and priorities.  Understanding who can help who–but if you make things a little more foregiving, sometimes that can create more incentive to take risks.

Interesting stories..

Interesting STories

I was thinking today of all the interesting stories I’ve collected over the years. I’m happy to share and am always on the lookout for new ones.

I can think of 3 off the top of my head.

1. How i free-style rapped without knowing how in front of 3,000 people.
2. How I almost died several times in Costa Rica(surfing/white-water rafting)
3. How I had my cousin on my back and had all of these marmots come to us..

Does anyone else have anything they’d like to share? I’d be happy to share the full-versions as well..
